Question 1: How and when did the Thayer High School teams become the Tigers?
Bruce Jones of the Class of 1957, donated a program from the 1957 Tri-State Basketball Tournament program, in which Thayer is identified as the "Tigers". This is the earliest documented reference to Tigers that I have seen. Does anybody have the program from 1956, or another document, that refers to Thayer as the Tigers?
