May 1, 1931-Led by Coach Ernest Barnes, the Thayer baseball team beat Walpole 8-5. This made the team's record 2 wins and no losses.

May 2, 1930-The Thayer baseball team won at Keene 2-0. Thayer was coached by Ian Walker.

May 2, 1949-The Thayer baseball team beat Keene J.V. at Winchester 2-0. Bob Barden pitched a two-hit shutout and had one of Thayer's two RBI. Francis "Fuzzy" Fosdick knocked in the other run.

May 3, 1932-The Thayer baseball team beat Hinsdale 20-6 in Winchester. Raymond Henson was the starting pitcher for the game for Thayer. He gave up six runs in three innings when Thayer committed eight errors. Chet Kingsman pitched the final five innings of the game. Brony Noseck and Ken Wasileski did the catching.

May 4, 1948-The Thayer softball team lost at home to Powers Institute of Bernardston, Mass. 17-16. June Kiley and Shirley Brayman hit a home run each, and Dot Secord hit a triple.

May 5, 1931-The Thayer baseball team beat Hinsdale 7-6. Alec Baronoski scored the winning run on a Chet Kingsman sacrifice fly in the final inning. The Thayer coach was Ernest Barnes.

May 5, 1949-Thayer baseball won 7-2 at Hinsdale. Dick Houle and Bob Barden hit triples, Bud Baker was 3 for 3, Barden struck out 13 batters, and according to the Thayer Revue, "Al (Lightning) Thompson layed down a good bunt and beat it out for a base hit."

May 6, 1948-Coach Paul McNamara's Thayer baseball team won at Powers Institute of Bernardston, Mass. 25-15.

May 8, 1930-The Thayer baseball team, coached by Ian Walker, beat Orange, Mass. 6-3 at Orange. Thayer's record was 3-0 after the win.

May 10, 1932-The Thayer baseball team won at home over Northfield 17-8. Roger Dubriske hit a homerun that, "rolled to the flagpole," and Steve Baronoski hit a homerun that "rolled under the fence." Chet Kingsman pitched all nine innings and Ken Wasileski caught the whole game.

May 12, 1933-The Thayer baseball team played 11 innings in Hinsdale in a game that ended in a 3-3 tie. Chet Kingsman started pitching the game, but he collided with Raymond Henson and both of them had to leave the game. Ken Wasileski was the catcher. The Thayer Revue provides no reason for the game ending in a tie, but darkness might be a reasonable guess.

May 13, 1948-Coach Paul McNamara's Thayer baseball team won at Northfield 7-5 in a nine-inning game.

May 14, 1930-The Thayer baseball team, coached by Ian Walker, beat Walpole 4-2. The team's record improved to 4-0.

May 15, 1931-The Thayer baseball team beat Hinsdale 12-10. Thayer led 4-1 after one inning, but Hinsdale led 7-5 in the sixth when Thayer scored six runs to take the lead. Brony Noseck and Raymond Henson hit triples in the game. Coach Ernest Barnes' team's record was then 4-0.

May 16, 1946 - Coach Lucille Boody's Thayer softball team beat Hinsdale 24-3. Hinsdale did not score until their last time at bat.

May 18, 1954-The Thayer baseball team, coached by Phil Hyde, beat Hinsdale 26-4.

May 19, 1930-The Thayer baseball, coached by Ian Walker, won at Northfield, MA 16-0. The teams recored improved to 5-1.

May 19, 1933-The Thayer baseball team beat Northfield 6-5 in Winchester. Raymond Henson hit a homerun that landed near the woodpile. Frank Dominick scored the winning run on an groundout. It is likely that he would have been out at home, if the catcher had held the ball. Thayer was coached by Ernest Barnes.

May 20, 1948-The Thayer baseball team won at Hinsdale 3-1. Their record improved to 4-2.

May 20, 1949-The Thayer baseball team went to Keene to beat their J.V. team 6-5 in a nine-inning game.

May 21, 1946-Powers Institute of Bernardston, Mass. visited Thayer, and Coach McNamara's Thayer team won 17-10.

May 22, 1930-The Thayer baseball team, coached by Ian Walker, beat Orange, MA in Winchester 5-0.

May 22, 1931-The Thayer baseball team, coached by Ernest Barnes, scored 10 runs in the third inning and 8 runs in the seventh inning and beat Northfield 30-5.

May 23, 1930-The Thayer baseball team, coached by Ian Walker, won at home against Keene 9-6. The win improve Thayer's record to 7-1.

May 25, 1978-The Hinsdale baseball team visited Winchester to play the Tigers. Hinsdale had won several consecutive games and was the heavy favorite. Playing a hunch, Coach, Dale Courtney selected right-handed pitcher Mike Bonski over left-handed staff ace George Jutras to start the game. Bonski struck out five Pacers, walked one, surrendered seven hits and three earned runs in a complete game that Thayer won 5-4. At the plate, Bonski was 3 for 4 with two singles, a triple, two runs, and an RBI. Click to see scoresheet.

May 26, 1931-The Thayer baseball team, coached by Ernest Barnes, beat the Keene 2nd's 11-4 at Keene. The Thayer record was then 6-1.

May 27, 1948-There is some discrepancy in the reports of the score, but the Thayer basebal team won at home against Powers Institute of Bernardston, Mass. 29-5 or 30-5.

May 28, 1979-The Thayer baseball team, coached by Dale Courtney, ended their season by beating Mascenic 10-7 in New Ipswich. Thayer scored 8 runs in the fourt to take the lead. George Jutras, Mike Bonski, and Darin Qualters each had three hits. Two of Jutras' hits were doubles. Keith Whippie was the winnnig pitcher and Jutras earned a save. Thayer's record for the season was 8-8.

May 29, 1931-The Thayer baseball team scored 8 runs in the first inning, and they beat Walpole 13-0. Brony Noseck and Alec Baronoski hit triples for Thayer. Thayer's final record for the season was 7-1.

May 30, 1990-Thayer High School graduate Kenneth Noseck died. Noseck played soccer basketball and baseball at Thayer, from which he graduated in 1935. He attended the University of New Hampshire, where he was a right fielder on the baseball team. He was a member of the military club Scabbard and Blade and the Theta Kappa Phi fraternity. He attained the rank of Lt. Colonel in the United States Army. He served in Europe during World War II, where he earned many awards including a Purple Heart, Silver Star, and a Bronze Seven Star Cluster. He was the Commander of Allied Forces at the Surrender of Munich in Germany. He retired from the Army after serving for 25 years. Click to see Noseck with 1935 Thayer baseball team.

May 31, 1933-With the help of two unearned runs, the Thayer baseball team won at Northfield 3-1. Chet Kingsman defeated a Northfield pitcher named Shearer.
