October 2, 1947 - Coach Paul McNamara's touch football team beat Hinsdale 12-7. Joe Zack ran for a touchdown and threw a touchdown pass to Bud Baker.

October 3, 1967-Coach Phil Pratt's Thayer soccer team defeated Leland and Gray Seminary 8-1 in Winchester. Gary Hamlin scored four goals and Bosco Racine scored twice.

October 5, 1948 - Hinsdale beat Coach Paul McNamara's Thayer two-hand touch football team 52-13. Bud Baker, usually a starter, did not play in the game.

October 7, 1933-Coach Ernest Barnes' soccer team opened the season against Keene High. The teams played to a 0-0 tie. It was too dark to play overtime.

October 9, 1947-Thayer beat Powers Institute of Bernardston, MA 32-0 in two-hand touch football in a Border League game. Bud Baker, Joe Zack, Bob Barden, Elliot Thompson, and Chet Seroka all contributed to the scoring.

October 10, 1950-Coach Ken Arminio's Girls Volleyball team beat Powers Institute 39-34. Thayer's record in the Border League is now 2 wins and 1 loss.

October 11, 1949-The girls volleyball team of Powers Institute in Bernardston, MA beat the Thayer team coached by Ken Arminio.

October 13, 1933-Orange, MA beat Coach Ernest Barnes' Thayer soccer team 3-1. Fran Dominick scored the goal for Thayer.

October 14, 1947-The Thayer volleyball team, coached by music teacher Margaret Meath, beat Northfield, MA 45-39. Northfield led 24-13 at the half, but the sun was in the face of Northfield in the second half and Thayer took advantage.

October 16, 1947-Northfield, MA beat Thayer 12-0 in touch football. The Thayer team had practiced very little during the week because most of the team had been called upon to help fight a forest fire.

October 17, 1932-The Thayer soccer team, coached by Ernest Barnes, beat Hinsdale 2-1. Hinsdale scored on the opening kickoff, but freshman Raymond "Chick" Dubriske scored in the second period. Chet Kingsman scored the winning goal in the second half.

October 19, 1932-Coach Ernest Barnes' soccer team beat Keene 2-1 in overtime. Keene scored on the opening kick-off, but Thayer tied the game in the second period. Since it was raining, the teams agreed to a three-minute sudden death overtime, which lasted only a few seconds.

October 20, 1948-Thayer won at Hinsdale 15-0 in touch football.

October 21, 1967-The Hinsdale soccer team, coached by Paul Bonneville, beat Thayer 2-1. The loss eliminated Thayer from the Division III state tournament. The Pacers' Rich Holbrook scored on a penalty kick in the second period. Ronnie Finnell scored for Hinsdale in the third. Mike Turant scored in the third to get Thayer to within a goal, but they could not score again.

October 22, 1962-Thayer beat Walpole in soccer 2-0.

October 23, 1947-Thayer and Hinsdale were scheduled to play a game of touch football on this date. The Thayer Revue reports that Thayer forfeited the game. No details are given.

October 26, 1932-Coach Barnes' Thayer soccer team beat Keene 2-0, making Thayer's record 3 wins and 0 losses.

October 27, 1949-The Hinsdale beat Paul McNamara's touch football team 38-13 in Hinsdale.

October 28, 1935-The Orange High School soccer team beat Thayer 6-1.

October 30, 1947-In the Border League season finale, the Thayer touch football team beat Powers Institute 25-7. Thayer's final record was 4-2.

October 31, 1950-Powers Institute of Berndardston, MA beat the Thayer volleyball team, coached by Ken Arminio, by the score of 36-26.
